North Eastern Philosophy of Education Society

Graduate Student Prize 2017

We are pleased to announce The New England Philosophy of Education Society Graduate Student Prize!

In recognition of the fact that the Society's future rests in a commitment to encouraging talented graduate students in philosophy of education, the award is offered in support of an annual conference paper that evidences especially strong work in the field. The graduate student paper will be evaluated according to criteria of originality, philosophical rigor, and significance, with the award offered to the highest ranked eligible submission.

The award, in the amount of $500, will be presented during the annual NEPES conference. Eligible submissions must consist of:

1) an accepted conference proposal
(submitted by August 1st)

2) the associated full paper
(submitted by October 1st).

The prize winner must be a current graduate student (on the date of award presentation)  in attendance at the annual conference. In cases of multiple-authored submissions or a tie between eligible submissions, the award will be granted to the relevant authors, with funds distributed between them. Submissions that have been co-authored with a "non-student" are ineligible.

Full consideration will be given to all eligible (i.e., properly authored, and based upon accepted conference proposals) full papers received via email (nepes2017submissions@gmail.com) by October 1st, 2017.
